June 2026 Walk Schedule

So far for June we have the following events lined up. As always please register on the event page and if you have questions about a particular walk contact the walk leader, again on the specific event page. Do check the site for the last updates of walk details!

Sunday 7th June – Eskdale to Ravenglass ‘Steam up the Valley’

This is a linear route where we take the steam train up the valley and walk back. The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway is ideally suited to outdoor activities and is a great way to start the walk.

Wednesday 10th June – Grasmere Loop (Evening)

An outing around the eastern and southern shoreline of Grasmere Lake.

Saturday 13th June — The Buttermere Trio

The classic Buttermere trio is: High Crag, High Stile and Red Pike, where all three are brilliant fells.

Saturday 20th June – Whitbarrow Scar and Lord’s Seat

Situated, just off the A590, to the south west of Kendal is a limestone escarpment which is relatively rare in the Lake District.

Sunday 21st June – Thirlmere to Grasmere via Helvellyn

(Linear Walk) Overall once the initial steep ascent is completed the walk along the peaks is fairly easy going and the descent from Grisedale tarn is steady.

Wednesday 24th June – Great Wood and Derwent Water east lake shore from Keswick (Evening)

An outing to Great Wood overlooking Derwent Water, and an amble along the eastern shore of Derwent Water.
