Red Screes – Sunday 30th September

This week starting from the post office in Ambleside we will head up Red Screes via the footpath that starts from the struggle. This does mean unfortunately the first ¾ mile is on road but after that it’s a nice steady climb up onto Red Scree’s. Once we get to the top and the cracking views we will stop for lunch before heading down to Scandale pass, where remembering to turn left we head back down the hanging valley following the beck to Scandale bridge and a photo opportunity before heading down the bridleway back to Ambleside.
