When we drop down into Sunbiggin we follow the quiet road for a few minutes. At Acres we take the footpath to Knott Lane and make our way back up onto Great Asby Scar. We then make our way across Gaythorne Plain, pass by Gaythorne Cottages. We walk along the B6260 for a couple of minutes (careful this can be a busy road), then we turn right and follow the footpath sign to Drybeck.
